Poles Apart was produced with funding from Awards For All. This was a 6 month project working with pupils from Testbourne Community School to produce a short film about the UK-based Polish community. We trained the pupils in camera techniques, editing, music production, graphic design and marketing, to enable them to take ownership of the project and be involved in every aspect of the production. The end product has been very well received and won the 'Best Edited Film' at the national Sony Media4schools awards.

Testimonial from Peter Hallmann, Head of Drama – Testbourne Community School:
"Cass productions achieved the perfect balance between high quality training and ensuring the young people had a clear sense of ownership. All of my pupils felt they were treated like professionals and they were utterly delighted with their film. My pupils started out knowing very little about the film making process and ended up working to professional standards in a real work environment. The Cass Productions team were totally committed to the needs of the pupils. Every one of our group could identify their learning journey and the contribution they had made to an outstanding film. Our kids feel justifiably proud of the success their film has enjoyed. Their experience with Cass Productions has been a positive one which they still talk about long after the project."
